The Richmond Journal of Global Law and Business is committed to publishing cutting-edge, provocative, and thoughtful works at the forefront of international law and global business. Throughout the year we welcome the submission of articles and essays on topics relating to international law and global business. The Journal aims to provide a forum for the widest possible range of opinion on these topics. While the Richmond Journal of Global Law and Business is a general interest publication, we presume that most readers will have at least a basic understanding of key cases and ideas in the field and encourage authors to cite to these basic tenets with footnotes rather than extensive exposition. We are equally committed to managing our own editing process to discourage unnecessary footnotes and excessively long articles. We particularly encourage the submission of articles and essays under 30,000 words (including footnotes.) Articles above 30,000 words are strongly discouraged. Further, the journal looks favorably upon the inclusion of an abstract. Conformity to these guidelines will be considered in selecting articles for publication. Further we ask that all citations conform to the Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (18th edition). Manuscripts should be addressed to the Articles Editors, and will not be returned. We ask that you submit a copy of your manuscript electronically, in Microsoft Word,
